Canon G7 X Mark II [Best DSL-R Canon Vlog Camera]

Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II is Canon’s flagship camera with many budget features and a list of various basic functions that make it a good value for the price.

Let us have a look at the pros and cons of Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II!

Pros

Pros

  • High resolution images captured with high speed – 8 fps continuous shooting
  • High quality 1080p full HD MP4 video
  • Wide touch-sensitive screen

Cons

Cons

  • Camera has focus issues while on Macro mode
  • Lack of viewfinder is astounding

Alright:

There are some pros and some cons, but they are not enough to explain the deal with this camera. Let us have a look at the positive and negative features of G7 X Mark II to decide it for once and all.

1080p Full HD MP4 Video

Normally you don’t start praising the definition and detail of a camera with how good a video one can make with it, but to me it is a big virtue. There is this paradoxical notion among camera people that an HD video is extra topping, while I believe that a lot of mobile cameras and fully functional digital cameras fail because their video result is horrible. Not with this one!

Wi-Fi Connectivity

With the advent of latest technology and its introduction to the world of videos and still photography, Wi-Fi connectivity comes up as one big benefit. All you have to do is connect your camera with Wi-Fi, transfer all the photos and videos to online or offline space, and clean the slate for next photo-shoot or videography.

Wide Aperture Lens

Wide aperture lens that comes with this camera is the reason why photos that you will take will be so lively, full of depth and full of life. This feature is simply irreplaceable and it is good for Cannon to include it.

Big Sensor

The G7 X Mark II comes with a big sensor, which you should know as a camera enthusiast, is a good feature because with big camera sensors you get higher resolution and bigger pixels, which both lead to better pictures.

Yet, these few pros are only the most prominent ones. This camera packs a lot of good features, for example, it works great in low-light and it gives you plenty of room with many manual control options.

However:

As far as the cons are concerned, we will not say that these are the problems only faced by customers of this product. In our detailed observation of the product, we found out that while in Macro Mode it is hard for the camera to maintain focus.

Immensely popular camera which comes at a great bargain and has ample of interest.

Canon EOS M50 Mirrorless Camera Kit w/EF-M15-45mm and 4K Video

Just when people thought that the transition from film to digital camera was the end of this journey, mirrorless cameras simply jolted the world of photography and videography. Sonny a6000 is not the only mirrorless camera that capture hearts because of its in-depth photos and 1080p high definition videos, other brands also did not waste time to get boarded on the station wagon.

And Canon EOS mirrorless camera that comes with EF-M15-45 mm lens and that is enabled with high definition 4K video, is Canon’s flagship mirrorless camera is what Canon presents to counter Sonny’s monopoly.

Pros

Pros

  • 1 Megapixel CMOS Sensor
  • HD 4K video
  • Polished and smooth to use touchscreen

Cons

Cons

  • Unsatisfactory battery life
  • Difficulty in lens configuration

Well:

We will talk about the cons of this camera in a short while, but more important are the reasons why people buy Canon EOS mirrorless camera.

First of all, the mirrorless cameras have a general edge over the mirrored cameras and this is the reason why Sonny a6 series managed to make the reputation they are known for. Same goes for Canon EOS mirrorless camera; since it is mirrorless, it is lighter, compact that mirrored cameras and it offers better video quality at high fps rate.

Built-in OLED EVF – Touch and Drag

The 2.36M-dot OLED EVF comes with a simple touch and drag function. The Electronic View Finder is one of the most important features in latest digital cameras since it shows you in real time the miniature display of the subject that you capture an image of.

4 FPS in AF-C

If you check the video quality of this camera as per AF Continuous standard, you would be happy to know that it can take 7.4 frames per second, which is quite good a ratio when compared to mirrored cameras.

1080p & 720p HD Videos

Since this camera comes with a faster frame per second speed, it offers really good videography as compared to mirrored cameras. Thanks to its faster frame per second rate and superior lens quality, this camera lets you make spectacular videos.

Wi-Fi and NFS Connectivity

The biggest sigh of relief that a camera junkie has with typical digital cameras is the ability to directly transfer their videos and photos from camera to any offline or online source. Yet, Canon EOS does not only offer Wi-Fi connectivity, it also lets you do the same job with NFS share.

However:

Everything is not kosher with this Canon marvel. The camera has a very limited battery life and it roughly lasts around 2 and a half hours. This is what we have noticed in lab observation as well as in the reviews given by its users.

2.5 hour, or so battery life is inadequate considering the size and space those 4K videos take and considering that one does not have time to charge the camera two or three times in busy outdoors.

Another problem is with lens configuration. For some reason, perhaps because of manufacturing glitch with some users Canon EOS mirrorless cameras, the lens does not function properly and it turns out to be a headache to handle it. However, this complaint has only been made by a few and in our lab testing, we observed that although the body of this camera feels like cheap plastic, there was no problem with lens configuration.

Review of Canon EOS REBEL T7i EF-S 18-55 IS STM Kit

There are certain brand names that now qualify for the product itself. Take Pampers for example; it is an American company that actually make baby and toddler products, especially nappies.

But now, this brand name is used as an alternative for the word “nappies”! This is some success for a brand and Canon enjoys the same status in realm of digital cameras. So much so, that when someone says “Canon”, no one thinks of anything else but top-class digital camera brand.

Canon’s EOS cameras have been the flagship cameras from DSLR giant and so far over 90 million EOS cameras have been sold. The reason is pretty simple; the EOS cameras are equipped with electro-optical system (hence the acronym) that makes it easy for people to automatically focus on an object.

From 1987 to 2018, this product line has helped Canon in becoming the king of SLR and DSLR cameras. Let us have a look at pros and cons of Canon EOS REBEL T7i EF-S 18-55 IS STM Kit:

Pros

Pros
  • Very easy interface & touchscreen control
  • 2 Megapixel CMOS Sensor
  • High speed shooting with 6.0 fps
  • Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth connectivity

Cons

Cons
  • Reported problems with data transfer
  • 4K video not available
  • Plastic body prone to impact damage

Well:

As you can see it is hard to find cons of a Canon camera. Since, I have talked of cons, it’ll be better if I talk about them one by one.

The only certain downside of this camera that I am sure of, is the lack of 4K video. Considering how there are cameras with same or lesser price range, that offer astonishing 4K videography, it feels bad to see that this Canon EOS that comes with a stock 18-55mm lens, cannot store your memories in form of 4K videos.

Having said this, it is must to mention that in terms of two other cons, we’re still in the grey area. What do I mean by a grey area? Well, we are not sure whether the plastic-looking body is so easy to break or the fragility is only limited to its looks.

Also:

We have heard it from some users and a few of those who bought this DSLR from Amazon also attest the statement, that this camera has problems with Bluetooth and NFC connectivity.

Yet, in our extensive lab testing we failed to see any problem with connectivity and data transfer. We transferred lots of photos and 1080p videos without facing an issue for a single time.

Enough said about cons, but pros of this camera simply outshone the proven or expected cons. For example, this camera comes with same 24.2 megapixel resolution that its predecessor T6i came with; yet this new camera in the same line offers a better sensor and picture quality.

A high speed 6.0 fps (frame per second) rate is also what distinguishes Canon EOS T7i among the cameras within same price range. While we agree that 6.0 fps is not ideal and there are cameras with better fps rate, this works like magic and is considered enough for normal (not expert level) use.

Last, but not the least, the three connectivity options that this camera offers save your money on SD cards. All you have to do is use any of the three connectivity options and transfer your date to safety of your hard-drive, laptop or some online space.

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Full Frame DSLR

For those who are aware of Canon EOS cameras lineage and how well this product range served the brand, EOS 5D proves to be the absolutely perfect Canon camera that professionals and wannabes want to have alike.

Canon Mark II camera fans knew that it was the first camera that made it possible for DSLR owners to make full HD video. Then with Mark III, we noticed the downfall of Canon Mark series cameras because it came with very limited functions, but it still had one of the best autofocus systems.

EOS 5D Mark IV is thus the epitome of the craftsmanship that gave to the mankind absolute DSLRs that introduced best AF systems as well as HD videos. Now it is the age when an HD video is not considered hip, and it has to be a 4K video in order to catch eyeballs. 5D Mark IV promises you the future of photography and videography, but at a price that not everyone can afford.

Pros

Pros
  • 4K videos
  • Highly touch-sensitive screen
  • 4 Megapixel CMOS sensor
  • Improved Autofocus system with expanded vertical coverage

Cons

Cons
  • Limited options available for 4K videos
  • Not much affordable
  • No 18-55mm lens option

EOS 5D Mark IV is the type of cameras that you always buy with a feeling of bitterness (why so expensive?). It is kind of “buy once, cry once” deal, and although we admit that for the price that it demands, it offers same features that some rival companies offer at lesser price, it is Canon guys!

This means that you do not only pay for the features, but you also pay for the quality and brand value. Still, it could be better if higher price were only con to discuss.

This camera does not offer the stock 18-55mm lens that most of the camera kits come with. This lens is for starters and always considered good in situations where bigger lens are not needed e.g. party photo-shoot.

Last but not the least, even the 4K video option comes with limited features. For example, you can only shoot a 4K image in JPEG format and you also cannot shoot in a flat gamma profile. Thus the 4K option is marred by limitations, which is not the case with 1080p videos.

Now let us talk about the pros of EOS 5D Mark IV camera, because they simply outnumber the cons of the same.

First if all, it is one of the top of the list Canon cameras because it offers a bigger 30.4 megapixel sensor. Compare this alone to 24.2 megapixel standard Canon (or other brand) camera and you should see why it is a better choice.

Yet, this is not all about EOS Mark IV’s superiority; this camera offers what most of Canon users expect from their EOS cameras. It is a 4K video and image capacity. Yes it comes with some limited features, but it is there and the result is simply breathtaking.

Apart from including these new options, Canon also improved the overall quality of its touch-sensitive display and the AF system. The display is now more sensitive to touch and the AF system is also improved with expanded vertical coverage.

To sum it up, this camera is love if you can afford it.

Canon EOS 80D EF-S 18-55mm STM Lens

Canon EOS (electro-optical system) cameras have been around since 1987 and the mere fact that more than 90 million of Canon EOS SLRs and DSLRs have been sold, proves how famous this product is among professional photographers, hobbyists and those who needed them for personal and domestic purposes.

This Canon camera comes equipped with a usual 24.2 Megapixel sensor and a stock 18-55mm lens. This kit has an improved CMOS AF sensor and 7 fps rate that makes it better than many cameras within same price range while some of them belong to Canon and EOS range.

Let us have a look at the pros and cons of EOS 80D to have a better idea of where it excels and where it lacks:

Pros

Pros
  • Really awesome autofocus because of 45-point all cross-type autofocus system that focuses with precision and speed in dim light as well
  • 2 Megapixel CMOS sensor
  • Excellent and easy touch control

Cons

Cons
  • AF system is efficient, but it is complex and it requires time to learn it
  • Camera auto-focus and flash are likely to break

Well:

I haven’t mentioned one of the cons so far and it is important to mention here. For the price that this camera demands, there must have been something special.

It is not that I do not praise its slightly better fps rate that is 7 fps and I also appreciate as to how accurate and fast is this camera’s auto-focus, but it does not put up much bling for the price of it.

Anyways:

We have briefly discussed the pros of this camera, lets us talk about them in a little detail.

One of its pros is its better built. You know that Canon customers complain of its plastic finish all the time and how they feel that their camera will scatter on the ground in the unfortunate event of them dropping it by mistake.

Well, this is not the case with Canon EOS 80D. It is well built and ergonomically designed. This camera has a round and curvy built, and with all of its controls arranged skillfully, a user feels it very easy to find every important control then and there.

Also:

When you compare this camera to its predecessor 70D, one may say that both of them offer the same 7fps rate and thus there is nothing new about this camera, but having a superior 24.2 Megapixel sensor and a better Digic 6 processor, this camera comes with a much better user experience and native ISO range.

As far as the cons are concerned, they are not of a serious nature. For example, consider the complexity of the autofocus system, since it demands time for a user to ace controls.

But this is not much of a con. Since I have used this camera during our lab testing, I can assure you that you will take maximum one week to learn how to use autofocus and other controls.

Likewise, the likelihood of the failure of flash and focus of this camera is little to no. We decided to add this con because a few users reported it, but in our extensive and exhaustive testing of this camera, we did not notice any such problem.
