But let’s not forget that Google Adsense is undoubtedly a leader in PPC ads publishing, but the question is, can we diversify our methods other then Adsense?
The answer is NO. The reason is not that you cannot make thousands of dollars per month with AdSense and make a good living, but because you cannot rely on a single source of income. The online world is more dynamic than the offline world, and you cannot assume that thousands of people will always visit your website and click on ads, and you cannot assume that AdSense will exist forever. Maybe it will, but you cannot base your income on it. Diversifying your risks and spreading your revenues is always the best practice, online or offline.
But don’t ignore other monetisation methods such as affiliate marketing and freelancing. By combining multiple income streams, you can create a more stable and resilient financial foundation. This approach not only mitigates the risk of sudden changes in one revenue source but also opens up new opportunities for growth and income.
Imagine the peace of mind you’ll have knowing that a dip in website traffic or a change in ad policies won’t jeopardize your entire livelihood. Instead, you’ll have various streams of income working together to support your financial goals. This diversified strategy is crucial in navigating the ever-changing landscape of online income generation.

The cost-per-click for ads is determined through an auction system, ensuring competitive rates. This helps in maximizing the revenue potential for each click on your site.

How to Start Earning Money with Google Adsense in 2024
This is going to be a step by step procedure, let’s start with things to do before applying for Google Adsense.
5 Things to do before Applying for Google Adsense Account:
Well, let me honest, Adsense isn’t easy now a days. Things aren’t like once they were back in 2006, 2007 and 2008, it’s 2024 now, but the good thing is you aren’t alone!
Your Age :
You must be of 18 years old with having a national identity. If you are younger than this, consider writing your parents/guardian name or you may have to open a joint account with your blood relative in a bank to receive checks/payments from Google.
Quality Content :
Google is not looking for copied, duplicate, or already available content in the market. What Google is actually looking for is quality content that is not yet already available in the market. It has to be grammatically correct, unique, and gives quality information to the user on the subject they are looking for.
However, it’s not enough to simply publish content that doesn’t violate AdSense content policies. You also need to provide high-quality content on a high-quality website. Google is liable to advertisers for the money they pay, so they don’t want their ads to appear on low-quality websites. In the past, this was possible, but in the last couple of years, they have had stricter policies on the type of websites you can run AdSense.
To ensure your website meets these standards, consider the following:
- Originality: Ensure your content is unique and not just a rehash of what’s already available.
- Grammar and Clarity: Your content should be grammatically correct and easy to read.
- Value: Provide quality information that genuinely helps the user.
- Website Quality: Maintain a well-structured, easy-to-navigate website that offers a good user experience.
By focusing on these aspects, you can create a website that not only meets Google’s stringent AdSense policies but also provides value to your users and attracts high-quality advertisers.
No Privacy Policy, About Us or Contact Us page:
If you are serious about earning money online from AdSense, then you need to be serious with your website and blog. Consider adding a privacy policy, terms of condition, about us, and contact us page to show professionalism about yourself and your website.
Address Details:
While applying for AdSense, make sure to write the correct home address because Google will be sending you a PIN on your mentioned address to cross-check.
Compliance with AdSense Policies:
AdSense represents a significant portion of Google’s revenue, so they take the program seriously. While it is relatively easy for everyone to get an AdSense account, you risk losing your account if you don’t play by their rules 100%. Even if you are an existing or new AdSense publisher, read their policies before implementing AdSense on your website.
Remove any ideas for tricking the system from your mind, and always remember that they have hired the best people to ensure nobody can bypass their rules and policies.
Check Your Content:
While I have already mentioned a few of the content tactics you need to keep in mind, there is also one more thing, and that is the niche. Below are some of the niches that AdSense doesn’t like, so if you have a site in the following categories, I don’t recommend AdSense.
Content Violating AdSense Policies:
- Pornography/Adult materials
- Pirated Content
- Hacking or Cracking Tutorials
- Illegal Drugs/Paraphernalia
- Any Other Illegal Stuff
There are a few languages that are supported by AdSense, so make sure your blog language is in the list of these supported languages.

Here are the tips to adopt to start earning with Google Adsense:
Below are some things you need to keep in mind once you start a website:
Don’t Rush to Apply for Google Adsense
A big mistake bloggers make is that they apply to the Google Adsense program after a few days of launching their blogs. It’s the wrong step to take. Because it’s not about the number of articles you have published, but rather how much traction you’re getting on your blog.
It’s better to build some authority, grab attention, and let the organic visitors start to come, then apply for Google Adsense. Don’t worry if it takes 2 to 3 months after launching the blog because it is worth it.
Test the Ads Placement
There are different places to put the ads on a blog. Try experimenting with placing the ads on different places on your blog. It’s better to test out a set of ads on certain places for 4 weeks and see what happens after that, then compare it to the next set of ads on different locations of the blog. You might see a change in the Adsense earning.
It isn’t a joke, do you know that Bob increased his Adsense earnings by 80% with one simple technique and it was just changing colors of the ad. Imagine how just the change of colors has impacted Bob’s business.
Write Content Consistently
Consistency is the key to success. When you write content on a regular basis, the chances of getting your content ranked high in the search engines increases. Similarly, your content could go viral on social media if it suits a specific audience and they start to share it. There are different factors for why a piece of content gets shared on social media.
For example, if it solves a specific problem, is written for a certain group of people, addresses a mass-level issue, or breaks some relevant news, then it gets a lot of attention.
Focus on the Niche
Google Adsense earning depends a lot on the number of visitors and page views alongside the clicks. It means you have to have a bundle of regular visitors on your blog to make money from Adsense. It is advisable to create content in your niche so that it gains more authority over time. On the other side, if you mix up different types of content, you’ll end up ranking for nothing and likely fail to build authority over time.
So focus on your niche and try to cover every possible aspect of your niche to make an authority blog. In case you’re wondering why I haven’t talked about high-paying niches, the reason is that one should be focusing on a niche they are interested in rather than a high-paying niche they have no interest in pursuing.
Geographic Impact
The geographical locations of the blog visitors count a lot in Google Adsense earnings. It’s a fact that a click from the U.S, UK, or Australia can’t be compared to a click from Kenya, Zimbabwe, or Bhutan. The only way to get visitors from countries like the U.S, Canada, Australia, and the UK is to create content that people in these countries will be interested in reading. There is no shortcut to this strategy.
If the majority of your blog visitors are from these countries, your Adsense income is likely to be more than a blog that has mainly Asian traffic.
Blog Design and Layout
It might sound irrelevant but it does have its importance when it comes to blog earning. If your blog’s design (theme) is not attractive, readers are not going to stick to your content. In case you have put together a beautiful design, the visitors will stay longer and likely engage with your content.
If your blog design is less attractive and lacks symmetry, the click-ability would decrease and visitors are likely to spend less time on the site. So pay attention to the blog design at any cost.
Compliance and User Experience
Successful AdSense websites fully comply with AdSense policies and webmaster guidelines. This ensures the website is not penalized or banned, maintaining steady revenue. Also, although they have ads above the fold, these ads do not interfere with or damage the user experience. Balancing ad placement with user experience is crucial for keeping visitors engaged while also optimizing ad visibility.
Ad Placement Strategies
Successful websites place their ads in the main content and sidebar. The reason is simple: The Click-through Rate (CTR) in the main content area is greater than in the sidebar, translating to more clicks and more money from AdSense. Experiment with different placements to find what works best for your audience.
Diversify Your Revenue Streams
Lastly, successful AdSense websites offer other services/products and do not operate solely for running AdSense. This diversification can stabilize income and reduce dependency on AdSense alone. Consider incorporating additional revenue streams like affiliate marketing, sponsored posts, or your own digital products.
What are the different ad units for adsense?

While I totally recommend you work on topics you are passionate about, if you are passionate about writing on any of the following niches, consider yourself lucky:
High Paying Adsense Niches and Keywords
- Insurance Niche

How the Right Keywords Influence AdSense Revenue
Targeting the right keywords in your content can significantly boost your AdSense earnings. But what exactly makes a keyword “right”? Here are two key characteristics:
- Advertiser Usage: Keywords that advertisers use to promote their products are highly competitive. This competition raises the earnings per click (EPC), making these keywords more lucrative.
- Action Keywords: These are keywords that prompt users to take action, such as “buy,” “subscribe,” or “download.” Users searching these terms are more likely to convert, boosting your revenue.
Example: Weight Loss Niche
Imagine you operate two websites in the weight loss niche, both running AdSense and receiving the same amount of organic traffic. One website targets keywords like “weight loss tips,” “how to lose weight,” and “lose belly fat.” The other targets more general keywords like “why drinking water is important,” “what to eat after dinner,” and “how many meals to eat per day.”
- Revenue Comparison: The first website is likely to earn more because advertisers are more interested in those targeted keywords. The available relevant ads will be greater, and users looking for specific tips are more likely to click on ads that offer solutions to their problems.
- User Engagement: Users searching for actionable advice are more inclined to click on relevant ads than those seeking general information.
This illustrates why organic traffic is highly valuable. It is targeted and converts better, leading to higher AdSense revenue.
By understanding the characteristics of high-paying keywords and focusing your content around them, you can maximize your AdSense earnings while still writing about topics you are passionate about.
4 Things To Avoid When You Start Publishing Adsense Ads [Very Important if you are serious about earning online from Google Adsense]
Okay, Cool now you have an approved account, now the next are few things which i don’t recommend you to do or avoid them at all costs.
Don’t click on your own Google ads or suggesting people to click
Google has strictly mentioned this, in there policies guideline, that you should not click on your own ads at all costs or even asking people to do it, this may seems a good way to earn money in short run, but it will be illegal, unethical and will give you more harm in long run because doing so will result in permanent suspension/termination of your adsense account.
Sending Ads via Email
If you become greedy and try to do things like sending ads via email, unfortunately this is against Adsense policies so better avoid it.
Mislabelling Ads and Encouraging visitors to click :
Okay, now I’m not saying that your ad placement should be poor but what I’m trying to say here is that some people mislabel ads with some other things or encouraging visitors to click on the ad without they even know. Adsense is strictly against this.
Hosting Copyright or Duplicate Content :
Hosting copyright or duplicated content without linking or taking original author permission is something you need to be concerned on. I even don’t recommend running adsense on autoblogs too, it is completely unsafe.
How Google Adsense Pay You?
I think this must be one of an exciting question which every one must be waiting to hear on.
Although it may vary from country to country. So depending upon your country, Adsense may offer all of these or some of these payment methods to you which includes:
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
- Check
- Western Union Quick Cash
- Wire Transfer
- Rapida
You will receive payments on monthly basis and it can be shown on Transactions page on Adsense and you will be paid on approx. 21st of next month. For example, for my August earnings, I will be paid on 21st september.

Successful Examples of Websites Using AdSense
If you’re looking to monetize your website with AdSense, it helps to see how others have found success. Here are a couple of noteworthy examples that illustrate effective AdSense usage:
Example 1: Digital Photography School
Digital Photography School, a popular site for photography enthusiasts, has mastered the use of AdSense. The site’s owner strategically places multiple ads per page. One ad appears ‘above the fold’—visible without scrolling—while others are integrated within the main content and the sidebar. This placement strategy ensures good visibility and high Click-through Rates (CTR), without disrupting the user experience.
Example 2: Calorie Secrets
Calorie Secrets, a comprehensive site for diet and nutrition advice, employs a different but equally effective approach. Instead of charging for premium content like calorie counters and diet plans, they offer these tools for free and monetize through AdSense. They use three ads per page: one above the fold, one below the main content, and one in the sidebar. This configuration maximizes visibility and click potential, thereby increasing revenue.
Common Traits of Successful AdSense Sites
What do these websites have in common? Here’s a quick summary:
- High-Quality Content: Both sites are rich in top-quality, valuable content that attracts and retains visitors.
- Substantial Traffic: They have managed to build a large and steady stream of traffic, essential for generating significant AdSense revenue.
- Policy Compliance: Strict adherence to AdSense policies and webmaster guidelines ensures they remain in good standing with Google.
- Strategic Ad Placement: Ads are placed within the main content and sidebars but are carefully curated to avoid interfering with user experience.
- Additional Offerings: These sites offer other services or products, demonstrating that their core focus isn’t solely on generating ad revenue but on providing value to their audience.
By examining these examples, you can gain valuable insights into how to structure and manage your website to maximize AdSense revenue effectively.
